I Am A Dork.

Hello Friends, well... today was my first time to dance with a boy. yup. I am quite lame. And the only reason I did was because it was a Spanish field trip, but I tear up the floor while doing the salsa. Sadly I have never been asked to a high school dance or ever asked anyone but this year I am determined to get up the guts to finally ask to turnabout. You are probably thinking isn't turnabout in February? Yes. It is. But, I like to have something to look forward to. The only problem I don't have a clue on who to ask and I didn't have no magical connection while salsa dancing with all the guys in my Spanish class, but thats the point. You shouldn't have to impress a guy you should just be able to laugh, and dance, and have fun with them. So who knows maybe my date I danced with today...? Back to focus. Besides thinking about turnabout I have become addicted to online shopping at Urban Outfitters and Mod Cloth. My Urban Outfitters reach over 3,000 dollars the other day. I think I have a sleight problem... But I found some adorable dresses that may be possibilities for Turnabout 2013! So.. Without further a due. Here are my finds.
I am obsessed with this dress. I think it's the color. But I also am in love with the sheer necklines!
Red isn't exactly my color of choice, but around Valentines Day this could work out pretty darn well. Maybe not for Turnabout, but I still like the dress.
Collars have become my new obsession.
My favorite! Maybe a little bit to formal and yes black is so black. But it is gorgeous!
Strapless dresses... It it cute but for a winter dance a little cold. But it is on sale! The only problem with strapless dresses is that when you are dancing you have to do the boob dance to keep your dress from falling down. AWKWARD. Go for the sheer top I think.

Nerds for Nerds

This was a piece that I wrote a couple of weeks ago for my AP lang class. The assignment was basically eat some nerds and use the 5 senses to describe them. This is what I came up with and I hope you like it. Comment Please! I speak on behalf of all the nerds. The dorky nerds, the cool nerds, the hipster nerds, and the edible nerds. Yes, we wear glasses and are socially awkward but there is no need to judge. We do not care if we snort louder than the average person, or if our high socks are apparently “out of style.” You can make fun of us all you want, because we take pride in who we are; but you do not make fun of the nerd candies. They are our voice, our mascot, our pride and joy; they let the nerd name become a world-wide phenomenon. We are like these delectable nerds too, both inside and out. They may look like amusty old beat-up punching bag with bumps, lumps, and deformities. But we have these same issues upon our faces. They may look disturbing to some people, but hey, our pimples are slimy and have a harsh pink coloring too. However, when you mess with Wonka’s wonderful nerd candies, you mess with us. These are our favorite fruity, colorful, snacks and they give us nerds the motivation to be our socially awkward selves. Some people may call us smarties but we do not appreciate this nickname one bit. Smarties are what the druggies use to pretend to smoke, as they puff sugary powdered circles into the air. That is not a part of our nerdy reputation at all. Nerds are very fragile like intricate glass crystals, and can shatter under extreme pressures. We possess a hard outer exterior of armor to block all the cruel words we receive at school. But if you penetrate our outer shell, you will destroy us with one breathe. Others may say that we are stuck up and sour like pies without sugar. But that is just because we work hard for what we want to achieve, while others spend their time eating pies. We nerds are interesting people, but once you get to know us on a deeper level, you will truly understand, and appreciate the fun flavor that we add to people’s lives.

Mood Changers

This may seem cheesy but the things that seems to make me the happiest in the world are sunflowers and music. They are just some of those things that can completely change your mood. Sunflowers are just happy flowers. I think it is impossible not to get the warm fuzzies when you see them. And music, o my good golly garshness, it always know exactly how I feel. Taylor Swift is my absolutely go to artist for boy problems, because she makes me feel not so alone or challenged when it comes to boys. You will come to learn that I tend to be extremely spastic and socially awkward at times, but I embrace it with all my heart. Also, I absolutely love to dress nice. Not necessarily because I care how I look to boys or other people, but dressing nice makes me feel good about myself. So... I have created a mishmash of some of the things that can absolutely change my mood.
How can you not smile at that. You can't!
This song is one of my favorites. It not only relates to bullies, but how guys can just be jerks sometimes. (sorry to the guy readers out there. I hope I didn't loose you already) Hope you like it. Tell your friends. - Emma

Life...

This past summer I was in a pretty horrific car accident in Kentucky with my mother, and we are both lucky to be alive today. I won't go into the details, but lets just say that people had to be helicoptered. I have decided to make this blog because everyone goes through hard times in their lives and I want you to know that it is okay.I have experienced extreme survivors guilt, and have questioned the fact that how am I still here. This blog is to show you the little things that are important in life, and that every life is important. I am hoping you will play an active part in my blog as well. It will be somewhat of a journal, dealing with life, high school drama, everything really. But overall, if you ever need someone I am always here. - Emma P.S. Later if you feel you really want to get to know me more, I wrote a piece about my accident for school, freaked out my teacher, and got a B. High school right...
